Leed’s Asian School celebrated the annual day function ‘NAVRANG-colors of India’. The Chief Guest Shree Hari Narayan Singh, former Education Minister, Govt of Bihar and MLA, Guest of honour Shree Gyanendra Singh ‘Gyanu’ MLA Bihar Legislative Assembly, Special Guests Professor (Dr.) Kalpana Singh, Reproductive Medicine (H.O.D) IGIMS, and Mrs. Anjula Kumari, Senior Kathak Dancer, Bhartiya Nrityakala Mandir, Patna inaugurated the programme by lightening the lamp. The Chairman Mr. Rameshwar Singh, the Secretary Mrs. Pushpa Sinha, The Director – Mrs. Shristy Suman and the Principal- Mr. Pradeep Chandra Gupta welcomed the guests.
An impressive welcome song by the choir group of the school marked the occasion. Principal, Mr. Pradeep Chandra Gupta presented the annual report of the school and the overall performance of the students in curricular and co-curricular activities. He praised the students that they are excelling in educational and other activities equally. Students not only excelled in IIT, NIIT and NEET but extracurricular activities like sports, dance, painting, debate, quiz and other fields also. The school spots the underlying potential of students and nurtures them. He further added that each child is unique and the school promotes them on all fronts. Here at Leed’s Asian, we recognize and sharpen the unique skills of children and help them to be the global citizen.
The function started with the prayer of Lord Ganesha children presented the dance and song as per the theme ‘Navrang’ and gave a message of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
Tiny tots of Pre-primary welcomed all and show cased their lovely performance.Students of standard-I in their beautiful red costume presented a lovely song ‘Galti se Mistake’. Students of standard-II entertained the audience by Bollywood remix – songs of seventies like – Mera Juta Hai Japani, Mera Naam Chin Chin Chu
Puppet dance from Rajasthan was presented by the students of class – 3rd which astounded the gathering. The audience danced with the students of class – 4th when they presented ‘Bhangara’- A dance of Punjab.
Bihari Folk Dance – ‘Jhijhiya’ was presented by the students of class – 8th. They also presented a Mime on the theme of ‘Save Trees, Save Life’.
Students of class – 9th presented a patriotic song – Teri Mitti Me Mil JawanStudents of classes 9th and 10th presented a beautiful ‘Kathak Dance’ which mesmerized the audience and the hall echoed with their applaud.
Dindi – A Folk Dance of Maharastra showed the simplicity and kindness of Shree Krishna. It is an award winning dance in the inter-school dance competition organized by Rotary Club, Patna.
Dandia Dance – has moved the people and forced them to dance with the children. Dandia Dance is also an award winning performance. It got 3rd Prize in Dandia competition organized by Dainik Jagran.Eminent guests addressed the parents and students and encouraged the students for their wonderful performance. They had no words to praise their lovely performance. They expressed their happiness and praised the school for their act of excellence. They wished them for their bright future.

Poonam Rai, Pushpa Kumari, Sarita Singh, Anamika Kumari, Om Prakash, Sudhir Kumar Mishra, Nishi Kumari and many teachers were present during the programme.
