NEET Results 2017: Punjab boy is India topper

Navdeep Singh from Muktsar topped the country with All India rank 1 in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) 2017. Navdeep scored 697 marks. His percentile is 99.99. The result was announced on Friday by the Central Board of Secondary Eduacation .
Navdeep has been regular in his studies. He had been studying in Chandigarh based coaching institute for preparation of competitive exams. He told Times Of India how beaten he was with his result. “I was expecting good marks but the result is overpowering. I am delightful that I could make my state and especially my city proud by bringing it on front nationally, as it is a very small place.”
Navdeep father Gopal Singh is a principal of a government School Charewan near Muktsar and his mother Simerjeet Kaur is working in LIC. His both parents said that they were pleased of him.

Nikita Goyal of Bathinda got All India Rank 8 by scoring 690 marks. She has studying for competitive from Bathinda based coaching institute. Still, a good score for her meant sacrificing not just social media but also entertaining and parties. “I did not use Facebook or whatsapp for two years. More than me it was my mother who had to make sacrifices. She attend me all this time and did not attend any parties or functions. It is because of her my father and my teachers that I could score well.  Her father Suresh Kumar Goyal is Agriculture Development officer in Bathinda and her mother Rani Devi is a lecturer of civil engineering in government college bathinda.

Tanish Bansal All India Rank is 686 marks.

Two students from Haryana also made it to top 25 list shared by Central Board of Secondary Eduacation. These include a girl Aditi goyal from Haryana with All India Rank 22, She scored 682 marks. Kanishh Tayal with All India Rank 7, he scored 691 marks.
