Paurushpur, a bold and beautiful Alt Balaji series, introduces us to a character named Umanglata and Ashmita Bakshi played this character. Who can think that this BSc student who used to do experiments in labs, can do such bold scenes on-screen flawlessly. The Punjabi’s are known for their love for eating but this Punjaban kudi emerged as a fitness model and inspired our youth.
Recently Ashmita Bakshi had a chit chat where she talked about her fitness mantra and her Paurushpur character Umanglata.
People know that she is a fitness freak but it wasn’t always like that. She worked hard to attain this fitness level and to attain this she focused a lot on her diet. Nowadays her diet consists of a lot of green veggies and she prefers rice over wheat and she loves to eat boiled chicken.
She also worked out 4 times a week and her workouts include cardio, weight training and running and she believes that if you are fit internally only then your body will be fit from outside.
Ashmita appreciates says women have to have at least one hour for fitness in a day for themselves because fitness is for everybody.
Talking about her character she revealed that it was not easy for her to play it, because it is her first time playing such a bold character. But the director of the show and her co-actors helped her a lot and made her feel comfortable on the sets. She said that the appreciation and she was happy that the message web series wanted to deliver about women empowerment and breaking patriarchal society was delivered well.
