Tabish-ul Hasan Memorial Inter School English Debate – 2022.

International School, Patna (CBSE Wing) annually organizes ‘Tabish-ul Hasan Memorial Inter School English Debate’ and this year too, the spirit was not pulled down by the ongoing Pandemic, rather the opposite, the school found a swift and effective way to provide a podium to students enabling them to come out of the shell of fear and exhibit their oratory skills.

The CBSE wing organized the aforementioned debate on 23rd April, 2022, wherein 16 eminent Schools of Patna like ST. JOSEPH’S CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL , BANKA GHAT, ST. MICHAEL’S HIGH SCHOOL,  DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL , CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL , INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (ICSE), INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (CBSE), DON BOSCO ACADEMY,  ST. JOSEPH’S CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL, BANKIPORE,  THE TRIBHUVAN SCHOOL , PRARAMBHIKA, LITERA VALLEY SCHOOL , ST. M.G. PUBLIC SCHOOL, RADIANT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL , ST. PAUL’S HIGH SCHOOL , ST. PAUL’S ACADEMY and S.V.M. RESIDENTIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL  participated in the debate.

The debate was conducted for classes IX-XII and the topic was “Is technology making us less human?”

The event was given a start with a welcome address by the Principal-Director, Mrs. Farhat Hasan, followed by welcome song and dance by the students of the host school.

The debate competition was presided over by Hon’able Chairperson, (Mrs.) Amina Hai,  and Judged by (Mr.) Shadab Mallick, AVP – Mondelēz India (Cadbury India),  (Ms.) Keerti,  State Head of UNFPA, Bihar and (Mr.) Amitabh Ranjan, Content Developer, (Bihar District Gazetteers upgrade) , Freelance Media consultant.

The Results declared were as follows:-

  • WINNING TEAM                – DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL
  • BEST SPEAKER                – AKSSHATT BARIAR – DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL
  • 1ST RUNNER-UP                – SARA   – DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL
  • 2ND RUNNER-UP                – SHRADDHA SHREE – DON BOSCO ACADEMY
  • MOST PROMISING SPEAKER- AFIA ALAM – INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (ICSE)

The winners received certificates and trophies for their laudable performances and all participants received “Certificates of Participation” by the Chair Person, Judges and Mrs. Sayeed Nahid Alam Principal, International School (CBSE).

The debating event concluded with the proposal of Vote of Thanks by  Prerna Suman, School song and National Anthem sung  by school choir.
