New Delhi, July 31, 2024: Jamia Hamdard successfully hosted an Induction Ceremony for the new students of its MBA Health Management and MBA Pharmaceutical Management programs. The event took place on July 30, 2024, at the Convention Centre, Jamia Hamdard in New Delhi, and marked the start of the academic journey for the 20th batch of MBA Health Management students and the 19th batch of MBA Pharmaceutical Management students.
The ceremony featured notable Guests of Honour Mr. Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs & Partnerships AMESA at Reckitt, and Dr. Naveen Nishchal, Chairman of Voice of Healthcare. Both guests shared their experiences and insights on the growing healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, offering valuable advice to the students.
The ceremony aimed to help new students connect with each other and with faculty members while learning about the culture and values of the university. The event began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Janab A. M. Farooqui, the Imam of Rabea Mosque at Jamia Hamdard, creating a thoughtful start to the day.
Prof. (Dr.) Reshma Nasreen, Dean of SMBS and Head of the Department of Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management, warmly welcomed the guests and students. “This ceremony is the start of a new journey for our students,” she said, highlighting the department’s focus on providing quality education.
A documentary film was also shown, featuring the life and work of Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, the founder of Jamia Hamdard, along with views of the campus. This film showcased the rich history and beautiful surroundings of the university.
The presence of Janab Hammad Ahmed, the Hon’ble Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, added special importance to the event.
Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, the esteemed Vice Chancellor, also spoke at the event, focusing on the university’s efforts to prepare students for future challenges. “Our goal is to provide education that combines theory with practical experience,” he explained, highlighting the importance of both classroom learning and real-world application.
The ceremony also included sessions where students could interact with faculty and industry experts, setting the tone for a productive and engaging academic year. The presence of key university leaders and industry experts underscored Jamia Hamdard’s commitment to excellence in education.
As the new students begin their studies, the induction ceremony stands as a reminder of Jamia Hamdard’s dedication to fostering talent and building a supportive learning environment.
The event also featured a comprehensive overview of the induction program, followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Saad Bin Azhar, Assistant Professor, Department of Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management, Jamia Hamdard.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem.
