• Three sophisticated pistols with 12 live cartridges recovered from their possession
• Were planning to attack one person in Trans Yamuna area with other gang members
A team of Special Cell/TYR, led by Inspr. Sunil Teotia, under the supervision of Sh. Kailash Bisht, ACP/TYR, has arrested two active members of a Trans Yamuna area of Delhi based gang namely, 1) Amaan Shekh r/o Chauhan Bangar, Delhi, age- 23 yrs& 2) Asad Chaudhary @ Danish r/o Chauhan Bangar, Delhi, age- 24 yrs. Three sophisticated pistols with twelve live cartridges were recovered from their possession. They were planning an attack a person in Trans Yamuna area along with their other gang members.
INFORMATION AND OPERATION:-
The Trans Yamuna Range of Special Cell, has been assigned the task of apprehending the active gang members operating in Trans Yamuna area, wanted and rewarded criminals for being involved in sensational/heinous cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, robbery, carjacking, special acts. So, the team has been keeping watch over the activities of such criminals. In this process, a team led by SI Akhil Chaudhary was working on the active gang members of a Trans Yamuna area based gang. The team collected and verified information about many such gang members. After painstaking efforts of several days, a specific information was received by HC Shravan Kumar that two active members of the gang namely Amaan Shekh, who was involved in the firing incident of PS Welcome, on a BC namely Wasim, on the directions of gang leader. And one Asad Chaudhary would come to DDA Park near Jag Pravesh Hospital, Usmanpur, Delhi to meet other gang members and that they are also carrying weapon to commit crime with their other associates. Acting swiftly on the information, team laid a trap and apprehends the accused persons namely, Amaan Shekh and Asad Chaudhary. During their search, two sophisticated pistols with ten live cartridges were recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.395/24, u/s 25 Arms Act PS Special Cell was registered and accused persons were arrested and their police remand was taken. Further, at the instance of accused Amaan, one pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from a hideout. On interrogation, both accused persons disclosed that they along with their other associates were planning an attack on a person in Trans Yamuna area. Further investigation in this matter is in process.
INTERROGATION AND CRIMINAL HISTORY :-
1. Amaan Shekh s/o Arif was born in Welcome, Delhi in 2002. He studied upto 10th standard and thereafter started work as an embroidery worker. Thereafter, he came in contact with local goons and get involved in two cases of snatching of PS Seelampur. Subsequently, he came in contact with members of a Trans Yamuna area based gang and on the directions of gang leader on June 13th 2024, along with his other associates, fired several rounds on a rival gang member in which total five persons were injured. All other accused persons were apprehended in the case while he was on the run since then. His previous involvements are as under-

2. Asad Chaudhary s/o Anish Ahmad was born in Jafrabad, Delhi in 2000. He studied upto 12th standard. After the demise of his father, he leaves his study and started working as a scrap dealer. Thereafter, he came in contact with petty criminals and started snatching mobile phones. He was first arrested in a case of mobile snatching in the area of PS Madhu Vihar and then in PS Lajpat Nagar. After coming out of jail, he came in contact with gang members of one trans Yamuna based gang. On the directions of gang leader, he was planning to attack on one person in trans Yamuna area, but was apprehended by police. His previous involvements are as under-
