Bodies of Missing Siblings Found in Assam’s Tangla with Throats Slit

Kukil Sakiya ( Guwahati): 22 Dec

Tragedy struck in Assam’s Tangla town, Udalguri district, as the bodies of two minor siblings who had ‎been missing since Friday were discovered on Saturday. The brothers, Gaurav Sharma (12) and Kaushik ‎Sharma (14), were students at Tangla Kendriya Jatiya Vidyalaya. ‎

The boys had left their home in Jorpukhuri, Tangla, for school on Friday morning but never returned. ‎Their parents, Mahendra Sharma, a driver, and Gita Sharma, conducted a frantic search for their children ‎after they failed to return home, but their efforts were in vain. ‎

On Saturday, the siblings’ lifeless bodies were found in Sastrapara, Tangla, approximately three kilometers ‎from their residence. Both had deep lacerations on their necks, leading to suspicions that they were ‎brutally murdered. ‎

The motive behind the suspected homicide remains unclear, and police have launched an investigation ‎into the case. Authorities are working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic deaths. ‎

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues. ‎
