Mumbai, 2 August.
Honorable Governor of Rajasthan, Shri. Hari bhau Bagde, unveiled a postage stamp in Mumbai today issued honoring the legacy of Shri Purushottamdas H. Purohit. Originally hailing from Rajasthan, Shri. Purohit left an enduring mark on Maharashtra through his accomplishments in business and his exceptional service to society.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar, Rajya Sabha Member Dr. Bhagwat Karad, and Postmaster General (Navi Mumbai) Suchita Joshi. As a part of the ceremony, the book cover for the upcoming biography titled “Adarsh Manav: Purushottamdas Purohit”, was also soft launched.

In his address, the Ho’ble Governor highlighted the historic contributions of the people of Rajasthan to India’s nation-building journey. He described Shri Purohit as a true karmayogi who blended entrepreneurial success in Mumbai with a lifelong commitment to social upliftment.

Former Minister Raj K. Purohit and senior Congress leader Bhawar Singh Rajpurohit also addressed the gathering and shared reflections on Shri Purohit’s exemplary life and values.
