Guwahati: Two Assam Police constables, Mukul Maran and Nabin Nath, have been suspended for engaging in a physical altercation while on duty. The incident took place under the Six Mile Flyover in Guwahati, causing a severe traffic jam in the area.
The fight between the two traffic constables occurred in 25th September, and a video of the altercation soon went viral on social media.
In response, the city police commissioner, Diganta Bora, issued a directive to investigate the incident.
On Sunday, the city police ordered the suspension of both constables, pending further investigation.
