Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha, made a heartfelt visit to the Sheroes Hangout Cafe in Noida, a unique space run by survivors of acid attacks. The event, organized by the Chhanv Foundation, was an inspiring moment as Rhea spent quality time with the survivors, listening to their stories, sharing words of encouragement, and discussing the transformative power of education and confidence.

Empowering Conversations

Rhea engaged deeply with the survivors, who shared their personal stories of overcoming adversity. One of the survivors, Anshu, who attended the Miss Universe India 2024 finale in Jaipur, expressed her admiration for Rhea’s confidence on stage.

“I was really impressed by your answers, especially when you spoke about skilling young individuals and empowering them to find their voice. You mentioned how the Holkar dynasty, 300 years ago, uplifted women, and that message stayed with me,” Anshu said.

Rhea, visibly moved by their strength, emphasized the importance of education as the foundation for self-confidence.

“Education is the key to confidence, and we should always be ready to learn,” she said.

Rhea’s Long-Standing Connection with the Campaign

During her visit, Rhea revealed that she had been following the Stop Acid Attacks campaign since her school days. She shared how meeting the survivors in person was a dream come true for her, and she draws deep inspiration from their strength.

“My only purpose in coming here is to learn from these incredible survivors and to do whatever I can to support the cause,” Rhea said.

Miss Universe India Becomes Smile Ambassador

In a significant development, Rhea Singha was also named the Smile Ambassador of the Chhanv Foundation. Under this role, she has committed to representing the Stop Acid Attacks campaign on international platforms, bringing global attention to the cause and advocating for the rights of survivors everywhere.
