Terrible road accident on NH-27: Two lawyers of Patna High Court died, sister-in-law of cricketer Ishan Kishan also included

Patna High Court advocate couple died in a horrible road accident on NH-27 in the Islampur police station area of West Bengal. Four others were seriously injured in the accident.

According to information, a fast-speed truck hit a fortuner car strongly from the side in the Bangapul area about 20 kilometers away from Kishanganj on Saturday evening around seven pm. The collision was so tremendous that the car went out of control and crashed. Truck driver escaped from the spot after the accident.

Patna High Court advocate Ritvik Thakur and his wife advocate Vaishnavi Singh died in this accident. Vaishnavi Singh died on the spot, while critically injured Ritvik Thakur was first taken to Islampur hospital and later referred to a private hospital in Purnia, where doctors declared him dead.

It is said that Vaishnavi Singh was the relative of Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan. Ishan Kishan’s elder brother also reached Purnia Hospital after getting reported of the accident.

Ritvik Thakur, his wife Vaishnavi Singh, his son, Ritvik’s brother, a maid and driver were riding in the car during the incident. Four others have been seriously injured in the accident and continue to be treated.

Hritvik Thakur’s house is being told near the water tank located on Bhootnath Road, Patna. Senior advocate Ajay Kumar Thakur left Patna for Purnia after getting news of death of son and daughter-in-law.

West Bengal police have started investigation into the case and are searching for the escaped truck driver.
