Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta – General Manager of Western Railway, felicitated 12 employees at the Western Railway Headquarters in Mumbai for their exemplary performance that contributed to safe train operations. These employees were recognized for their alertness and dedication during duty, which played a crucial role in preventing untoward incidents in August & September, 2025. The awardees included two employees each from the Mumbai Central, Vadodara, Ratlam, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Bhavnagar Divisions.
According to a press release issued by Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Shri Gupta appreciated the alertness displayed by the awarded staff and stated that they serve as exemplary role models for others to follow. He acknowledged their high level of commitment and dedication towards ensuring the safe operation of trains, highlighting their vigilance in various areas of safety such as detection of smoke and sparks, broken coupler body, dangling parts in wagons, brake binding e.t.c.
Western Railway commends all the awardee employees for being vigilant and acting promptly, which helped in averting untoward events.
