“State Cooperative Bank Relief for Retired Staff; ₹5,000 Monthly Aid for Serious Illness”

TAASIR :- S M HASSAN 17 APRIL

Mumbai- The Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank has taken a sensitive and significant decision for the health security of its retired employees. In the administrative meeting held on April 16, 2026, approval was granted to implement the “Ex-Employee Health Support Scheme.”

Under this scheme, eligible retired employees suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer, kidney failure, paralysis, liver disease, Parkinson’s, and tuberculosis will receive financial assistance of up to ₹5,000 per month from the Staff Welfare Fund.

Considering the limited income sources after retirement and the high cost of long-term treatment, this initiative is expected to provide major relief. As part of its social responsibility, the bank continues its tradition of employee welfare through this scheme.

Additionally, the existing financial assistance for surgeries will continue as before. Needy retired employees are requested to contact the bank’s Mumbai head office or regional offices for further details, informed Administrator Vidyadhar Anaskar.
