SUPVA getting ready for its second convocation

 

– Additional SP reviewed preparations and security arrangements with the Vice-Chancellor.

Preparations for the second convocation of Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLCSUPVA) have reached the final stage. On Saturday, the University’s Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya and Rohtak’s Additional SP Ayush Yadav reviewed the preparations and security arrangements and gave necessary guidelines regarding the preparations. During the ceremony, degrees will be awarded to 760 students who have completed graduate and postgraduate courses in different sessions.


The second convocation will be held at DLCSUPVA on May 4. The ceremony will be presided over by the Chancellor of the University and Governor of the state, Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh. The Chief Minister of the state, Nayab Singh Saini, will be present as the chief guest, and the Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda, will be the distinguished guest. Governor Professor Asim Kumar Ghosh will arrive at the University on Sunday and will inaugurate the exhibition to be held here. He will stay at the University on Sunday night and will participate in the convocation on Monday morning. To ensure that there is no shortcoming in the event, the University administration is engaged in completing preparations according to the required protocols. On Saturday, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Amit Arya reviewed all the preparations and gave necessary guidelines to the staff involved in the preparations. Along with him, Additional SP of Rohtak, Ayush Yadav, was also present. He reviewed all kinds of preparations in view of security. He inspected the entire university campus and the event venue along with the Vice-Chancellor. During this time, he had detailed discussions with the university management on VIP entry and exit, their stay, parking, and other security-related issues.

114 postgraduate and 646 graduate students will receive degrees

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr. Amit Arya, stated that the university’s first convocation was held in 2021, and now the second ceremony is taking place. In this context, both the university administration and the students are excited and ensuring that nothing is lacking in the event. During the ceremony, a total of 760 students will be awarded degrees, including 114 postgraduate students. He mentioned that for the 42 students of the 2018-19 batch, this ceremony will be a memorable moment because this year their degrees have been completed after a tough 100-day shooting schedule, and they will receive their degrees at this ceremony. The Registrar of the university, Dr. Gunjan Malik Manocha, stated that efforts are being made to make the moment memorable for the students receiving their degrees, including the creation of selfie points at various places, where students receiving their degrees can also share their thoughts and capture these memorable moments on their mobile cameras.
