Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate 103 Amrit Bharat Stations (through video conference) including Govindpur Road Station of Jharkhand on 22.05.2025. Rajmahal and Shankarpur Railway stations of Jharkhand will also be inaugurated by Hon’ble PM on the same day. Altogether 57 Stations of Jharkhand are being developed under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
The redevelopment of railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is a significant step towards modernizing the region’s railway infrastructure. With a focous on enhancing passenger amenities, improving accessibility and incorporating sustainable design, these upgradation will not only elevate the travel experience but also contribute to the economic growth of the region. Govindpur Railway station is important station in Hatia-Bondamunda section for passenger and freight transportation. The redevelopment of Govindpur Station of Ranchi Division has been completed in record time to provide improved passenger amenities.
The integrations of modern facilities like lifts, Newly Built Station Building, Developed Circulating Area with Green Garden, Additional Waiting Hall facility & Reserve Lounge, Developed Platform Surface and Platform Shelter have been executed at Govindpur Road Station. The work of Ramps, Water Booth and Toilet for Divyangjan, Parking Area development, Local Art Painting in concourse and station Area, Circulating Area Development, Tactile tile for Specially abled person, provision of Stainless Steel Benches, construction of Road side drain and pedestrian pathway, construction of Boundary Wall and entry gate facility have also been undertaken.
