INCLUDING GOVINDPUR ROAD STATION OF SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 103 railway stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme along with various important railway infrastructure projects through video conferencing today (22.05.2025). Redeveloped Govindpur Road station of South Eastern Railway was also inaugurated as a part of this nationwide project.
A colourful programme was organized at Govindpur Road station to mark the occasion. Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand virtually joined the Inaugural programme and appreciated the initiative of Railways. The programme was graced by the presence of Shri Deepak Birua, Minister of Transport, Revenue, Registration & Land Reforms (non -registration), Govt of Jharkhand, Shri Arjun Munda, Ex Chief Minister, Jharkhand, Shri Sudeep Gudhiya, MLA and Shri Koche Munda, Ex MLA. In addition, a large number of local residents, school children, media personnel, Rail fans, Social media influencers, Sarpanch of the nearby villages, representatives from Govt. offices and other guests attended the event with great enthusiasm.
Govindpur Road station is an important station of Jharkhand for passenger and freight transportation. The redeveloped station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme will provide world class travel facilities to the passengers and boost the economic growth of the area. Redevelopment of Govindpur Road Station of Ranchi Division has been completed in record time to provide improved passenger amenities.
During the programme, winners of the essay and painting competitions themed “Mera Amrit Station” & “Operation Sindoor – Virta ki misaal” were awarded by the dignitaries. Students from railway schools under Ranchi Division participated actively in the competition. Before the ceremonial inauguration, a cultural programme was also organized. Divisional Railway Manager/Ranchi, other railway officers and staff were also present on the occasion.
